The Buddy System is a new event at The Code Factory and like most of TheCodeFactory events, The Buddy System will be light weight, informal, fun and friendly with the intent of helping those just starting out. The belief is that entrepreneurs who have 'done it' successfully or those currently 'doing it' are the best to teach those just starting out. The buddy system is the start-up founders sharing their thoughts, perspective and lessons learned on getting going in a start-up company.

The Buddy System will be held for the first time on the 28th of October and occur on a monthly basis thereafter. Each session will feature founders of successful, local start-ups.

Andrew Nelson, Vice President, Engineering

Andrew Nelson is Vice President of Engineering and an original founder. Mr. Nelson leads Lumenera’s multi-disciplinary hardware, software and mechanical engineering teams, directing the life cycle development of Lumenera’s flexible camera lines. Mr. Nelson successfully drives Lumenera’s commitment to providing customers with the highest quality imaging solutions.

Kevin Mayer, Chief Technology Officer

Kevin Mayer serves as Lumenera’s Chief Technology Officer, strengthening existing and designing new technologies across the company’s custom/OEM, industrial, microscopy and surveillance divisions. As an original founder, Mr. Mayer has continually developed innovative and cutting edge imaging solutions that exceed the industry’s demanding requirements.
